Welcome to ASNT 2020: The Annual Conference! This week the NDT world is being brought together virtually, connecting the NDT community across the globe. This is a new way of attending the conference and will take place on the Digitell platform. The platform’s homepage hosts links to important items such as the full schedule of sessions, a virtual exhibit hall, sponsors, a scavenger hunt (with prizes!), frequently asked questions, technical support, and more. Google Chrome is the recommended browser and a high-speed internet connection is required in order to view the sessions.
For attendees who are new to the Annual Conference or to virtual conferences in general, ASNT is offering two orientations on Monday, 9 November, at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (all times are EST). More details can be found on the Digitell home page.
While this conference is different in the way individuals attend, ASNT 2020 will still bring the same high-quality informative content, networking opportunities, and connections with exhibitors. Attendees will once again be able to earn recertification points and track contact hours through the ASNT Events mobile app, which can be downloaded through the app store of the user’s choice.
Opportunities to network and converse with NDT peers include the virtual Happy Hour with Exhibitors on Monday, 9 November, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; a roundtable discussion on general NDT on Tuesday, 10 November, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; a roundtable discussion on NDT workforce development on Wednesday, 11 November, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and a roundtable discussion for meeting local section leaders on Thursday, 12 November, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
