Automatic Weld Inspection System | JIREH Industries
A new tracking system from JIREH allows its NAVIC crawler to follow welds during UT inspection automatically. The crawler can be used for circumferential and long-seam scanning with up to six probes. The system combines the proven features of the NAVIC with the ability to automatically track welds, even when the crawler is out of sight. The TRACKER is quickly configured using the remote handheld controller and mounts to any probe holder frame. The tracker’s laser guidance navigates the NAVIC along protrusions (i.e., the weld) with accuracy.

The compact Sub-Micro-CT System from diondo Inc. was developed for analyzing 3D structures in materials research. The sub-µ resolution captures the finest structures in three dimensions, which are often found in connection with fiber-reinforced materials or organic materials. Applications include materials research, in particular for lightweight composite materials such as carbon fiber and glass fiber composites; metal alloys (phase fractions and shape within the metal structure); metallic and organic foams (pore size and distribution); and natural materials such as wood, bone, and stone.
