The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Mobile Unmanned Systems Standards Committee accepted Bob Dahlstrom, CEO of Apellix, as a member.
The ASME Committee and subcommittees for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are developing soon-to-be released standards and guidelines for both providers and users of drones as they relate to inspections. ASME is the globally recognized, trusted source of standards used around the world.
Because of his involvement in several National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) standards committees, Dahlstrom will also provide specific inspection information for both visual and contact-based measurements by drones as part of an NDT and maintenance regime for industry, infrastructure, and other assets.
Apellix designs and builds drones that paint/coat, clean, and take contact-based measurements.
